This little baby just arrived from a government hospital in Guntur. Emma (named by my daughter Amira) has spina bifida and "gross obstructive hydrocephaly" for which she has not been shunted. She has a disturbed myelomeningocele lesion that has not been operated on, and club feet. She's feverish, emaciated and so hungry. She looks like she could die at any minute. Waiting for the driver so we can go to Hyderabad with her tonight. Please pray for life.

Poor little scrap. I'm so, so glad that she has you now. Hoping above hope for quick help for Emma. Don't let anybody tell you that it is too late or pointless because of how long her hydrocephaly has been left - she can still do well with help.
I'm glad they gave her to you, sister-sue. This makes me mad, mad, mad though. Who would let a little one languish like this? :(
